Think positively, dream of spring:
until the Vernal equinox!
Where the Great Basin Desert and Range meet the High Sierra, Reno's backyard to the west climbs into the beautiful Mt. Rose Wilderness. The terrain is old out west rugged, with mystical color in plants, rocks and animals that are themselves, strange, wonderful and diverse. May is for the Desert Peach and Bitter Brush in full bloom along the trails to the west of the city. The promise of wildflowers this year, too. The sight is spectacular. The shapes and colors of the living desert. Much of the fun and satisfaction of gardening here is meeting the challenge of integrating into a demanding climate with plants that like the weather, and with as many color experiments as there are plant combinations, all acting and looking like they belong, and we're all companions, plants and humans, in every kind of wonderful garden.
Thank you for visiting our Web site. We hope it will entice you to come visit our nursery. Come in, meet the plants, gather ideas for the great weather and good times a well planned garden brings to life. Find your inner garden at Dry Creek Garden Company. Check out our blog.
